I was informed about that 5k at Yankee Stadium...and would consider it if I didn't have a conflict.
I have run many events, 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon and marathon. I know that the interval training mentioned is much touted...and makes sense when thinking cardio. But, at my age now, when I employ any stop and go method it is felt adversely in my knees and ankles. I prefer one speed, whether up or even down hill.
Cool, posting on my own blog. Signed up for a Damon Runyon Cancer Research 5K run at --- yes truly-- Yankee Stadium on August 15.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great plan. I've done a 10K but nothing since. I think I'll try this.

Thanks for that information. I am going to discuss the training plan with my Boot Camp trainer tomorrow AM.
